Dr. Assya Pascalev is the Executive Director of the Center. She holds a doctorate in applied philosophy with expertise in biomedical ethics, moral philosophy, applied and professional ethics (including reserach ethics, food ethics, the ethics of biotechnology), ethical theory and the philosophy of death and dying.

Dr. Ilieva

Dr. Adelina Ilieva is a Senior Fellow at the Center. She holds a doctorate in the philosophy of science from the Center for Science Studies and History of Science at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Advisory Board
Dr. George Agich is bioethicist, professor of philosophy and director of the Values Program at Bowling Green State Univeristy and former chair of the department of bioethics at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic in USA and a former professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University.
Professor Peter Sandoe is Research Professor in Bioethics at The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. He is Director of the interdisciplinary Centre for Bioethics and Risk Assessment. Since 1992, he has been serving as Chairman of the Danish Ethical Council for Animals. He is the founder and President of the European Society for Agricultural and Food Ethics. 
Senior Fellow Svetoslav Ivanov is the Director of the Institute for The Institute of Experimental Pathology and Parasitology, one of the major medico-biological institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS).
